Beautifully complex black fruit with dense, rich extract that buffers well the prominent but ripe tannins. This offers a lovely sweetness on the mid-palate though it does still have slightly drying finishing tannins. Edgy, elegant and fine. [Allen Meadows, 01/10/2001]
