A fresh, cool and airy nose offers up both red and dark berry fruit scents liberally laced with earth, spice and leather nuances. There is excellent verve and lovely detail to the intense, if only moderately concentrated, middleweight flavors that are supported by relatively fine-grained tannins and the evident minerality gives the dusty, balanced and youthfully austere finish an appealing sense of lift.
