Tasting Notes
Burghound – 90-92
Hints of green tea and earth can be discerned on the elegant and airy aromas of various red berries and dried floral wisps. There is again a lovely texture to the lighter weight flavors that possess excellent underlying tension before culminating in a dusty, moderately austere and sneaky long finish. This slightly raspy effort should benefit from a few years of keeping to round off the tannins and reward a decade plus.
Vinous – 91-93
The 2021 Morey-Saint-Denis Les Millandes 1er Cru has impressive definition on the nose with blackberry, raspberry and crushed limestone. The palate is very well balanced with quite saturated tannins, fine-boned and finessed with a touch of kirsch and blood orange on the finish. Excellent.
Anticipated maturity: 2025-2040
Jasper Morris – 90-92
An attractive colour on the pinky purple side. Strawberry and raspberry together, quite high toned, but it is more whole bunch than volatility. Sweet fruit behind assists the finish.
Anticipated maturity: 2026-2030
