Tasting Notes
Jasper Morris – 97
Just bottled in early August. Gorgeous bright primrose. What sensuality on the palate but you know this wine is full of stones too. Not just on the label. The bouquet is going to take time. Just a baby, but this is going to be a truly beautiful wine. If you have this, you MUST wait because so much will be missed. Cashmere with little baby diamonds inside. Drink from 2027-2035.
Vinous – 95
The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Caillerets 1er Cru is another cuvée with a complex, irresistible bouquet with scents of blood orange, citrus fruit and crushed limestone. The palate is tensile, focused, wonderfully balanced with plenty of body and extract on the finish counterbalanced by its razor-sharp acidity. One of Caillat’s best releases to date.
Anticipated maturity: 2025-2042
