Tasting Notes
Burghound – 91-93
(Outstanding) Reduction flattens the underlying fruit at present. There is however very good verve and freshness on the slightly sleeker and equally intense flavors that exude more evident minerality on the powerful, austere and even firmer finale. This is one to buy and forget you own it for at least a decade.
Jasper Morris – 93-95
(Morey-St-Denis Aux Cheseaux 1er Cru, Domaine Arlaud, Red) A wonderful deep heady crimson purple. Clean and intense, no reduction, very promising. There is an extraordinary intensity here of red and black cherry fruit, with a freshness that feels as though it comes straight off the limestone behind.
