Tasting Notes
JancisRobinson.com – 17
Cask sample. Bright reddish crimson. Really very pleasing combination of Vosne energy and fully ripe fruit that speaks for itself and is not dominated by any winemaking elements. Great length and already nicely in balance. Supremely appetising.
Anticipated maturity: 2024-2036
Jasper Morris – 91-93
No whole bunches as Thibault found out in 2009 that it doesn’t work here. Brisk fresh deep purple. Very beautiful nose, classically Vosne with purity and precision. Starts very prettily and gains in substance, excellent acid balance, a very stylish not too powerful Vosne.
Burghound – 89-92
(Outstanding Top value) An elegant, pure and exuberantly spicy nose blends notes of essence of red and dark berries with wisps of earth, lavender and a background hint of oak. The equally pure middle weight flavors possess excellent mid-palate concentration along with good minerality on the suave and refined finish that delivers very fine depth and persistent for a villages level wine. One to check out.
