Tasting Notes
Jasper Morris – 90-93
From 50 and 60 year old vines. Clear pale colour, an intriguing lightly floral nose, some delicacy here, again the natural sense of balance, which I consistently find in Damien Colin’s wines. Really quite impressive density at the back given the hillside nature of this vineyard. Persistent too.
Burghound – 90
(Outstanding Top value) Once again there is a whiff of petrol though here it’s more discreet on the aromas of pretty citrus confit and fragrant acacia blossom. I very much like the more refined texture of the solidly concentrated yet finer medium weight flavors that possess evident minerality on the detailed, focused and lingering finale. This too is an excellent villages that’s worthy of your consideration.
