Tasting Notes
Vinous – 87-89
The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Damodes 1er Cru has a tightly wound bouquet of raspberry and blackberry fruit, slightly withdrawn at the moment but opening nicely in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a slightly stalky opening. Good acidity, freshness and race, though it needs a little more length on the finish. I just think less whole bunch – say, 50% would have matched the fruit better here.
