Rich and demonstrative, the 2019 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru wafts from the glass with aromas of orchard fruits, peach, nutmeg, orange oil and fresh bread. Full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, it’s deep and concentrated, with a fleshy core of fruit, lively acids and a long, saline finish. This is an unusually broad-shouldered but beautifully balanced Corton-Charlemagne from Bouchard. [08/07/2021]

Cask sample. Sweet, almond nose – so very true to the climat! Then tight and tense. A good example with depth and tension though it’s perhaps a little sweet? Lively and youthful. [21/12/2020]
