Tasting Notes
Vinous – 90-92
The 2018 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru offers light lemon zest and orange blossom scents on the nose. It feels quite tight at the moment. The palate is well balanced with notes of mandarin and orange peel on the entry. Tight toward the finish, which should put on more weight by the time of bottling.
Anticipated maturity: 2022-2038
Jasper Morris – 93-96
Fine mid yellow. Very reductive at first sight. Huge weight on the palate, with a really strong finish, lots of stunning fruit, a little sucrosity, full of energy and length. But this definitely needs longer to show its paces. I think it will turn into a very fine wine though.
