More evident wood is present on the attractively, and overtly, spiced aromas of ripe red and dark currant. By contrast, there is a lovely sense of freshness and vivacity to the concentrated, muscular and rich medium weight plus flavors that possess a highly seductive mouthfeel while delivering outstanding length on the powerful finish where the only nit is a hint of warmth. Note however that this is clearly built-to-age, so patience advised. [10/01/2021]

Broad dense purple. Class and energy. A very light banana note merges but scarcely relevant. Huge intensity, some dry stems, the sweet ripe fruit comes back behind., along with some grapefruit. Very high class. Possibly a bit dry to finish? Drink from 2033. [01/09/2022]
