Tasting Notes
Robert Parker – 90
The 2015 Meursault Le Tesson has a more extravagant bouquet when compared to the La Terre Blanche, with hints of menthol accompanying the citrus fruit and pineapple. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity that neatly offsets the generous guava and pineapple notes, leading to a very poised and energetic finish, with a long saline aftertaste.
Anticipated maturity: 2017-2024
Decanter – 94
In the Morey cellars, Les Tessons is a de facto premier cru and the 2015 is no excpetion. A stylish bouquet of green apple, pear, almond cream and white flowers introduces a deep, full-bodied wine with lovely extract and texture, also showing great mineral grip and length on the finish. Fantastic stuff.
Burghound – 89-92
Firm reduction renders the nose impossible to assess at present. The slightly bigger and richer flavors also possess a caressing mouth feel along with lovely intensity before delivering outstanding depth and length on the serious, indeed even mildly austere finale. This is a big yet relatively refined Meursault villages and a wine that is also very much worthy of your interest.
