Vinous – 89-92
(Duband owns 1.2 hectares in this premier cru–out of the 7 that came to him and his financial partner François Feuillet when they purchased Domaine Truchot-Martin from Jacky Truchot after the 2005 vintage): Bright red-ruby. Quintessential Morey aromas of black fruits, crushed cherry, mocha, brown spices and earth. A distinctly plush, round yet dry wine with excellent breadth and strong medicinal black fruit reserve. This fruit is always picked very early, noted Duband, and the wine normally needs time to fill in, but this 2015 already demonstrates lovely texture and depth. Finishes with ripe, building tannins.
