Tasting Notes

Cask sample. Clay of Porusot and the poor soils of Bouchères at the same time. Only just completed malo! (Now, if a wine doesn’t finish MLF by May, they put them all in stainless steel to retain fruit.) Quite solid. Great stuff! Exciting tension and structure. Lots of freshness. Long.
Anticipated maturity: 2021-2032

A difficult nose consists solely of leesy reduction today. Otherwise the opulent, suave and exceptionally rich, ripe and very generously proportioned medium weight plus flavors also brim with sappy dry extract, all wrapped in a powerful and muscular finish that, interestingly given the impressive size and weight, avoids any sense of heaviness, in fact it’s positively zesty. That said, this will also be approachable young if that’s your preference.
