Tasting Notes
Decanter – 93
Roulot has nearly a half-hectare in Tillets, at the top of the slope in very thin soils. The grapes are allowed to ripen fully and then crushed lightly prior to pressing. After fermentation the wines age a year in cask (20% new), are blended and then allowed another six months in tank, the result being fresh and clean, with a bright, lemony fruit edged with floral aromas. The texture is lively, but does not lack substance.

East facing and a bit higher and further south than Luchets. He admits it is same price as Virieuls but should be more. Thrilling. Exciting. So thrilling and tense. Formidable.
