Great density and vivacity on the nose – much more than in his Bonnes Mares. Firm drive of fruit. Race and pungency. Real grip with intense red-fruit compote flavours. Very graceful indeed ( gracieux in French, apparently) but with intensity.

Bright medium red Less open-knit but higher-pitched on the nose than the Bonnes-Mares, conveying outstanding verve to the aromas of raspberry, crushed rock, flint and mint Brilliantly delineated, stony wine with intense raspberry and spice flavors complemented by salty extract Wonderfully pure red fruits and spices carry through the dynamic, intense finish, with the crushed-rock element stimulating the salivary glands This is even more vibrant than the Bonnes-Mares and may need every bit as much cellaring
Anticipated maturity: 2024-2035
