Robert Parker – 92
Tasted blind at the annual “Burgfest” tasting in Beaune. The 2012 Echézeaux Grand Cru from Domaine des Perdix has a slightly disjointed nose at first, melds together a little with aeration, but stubbornly herbaceous and earthy at the expense of fruit expression. The palate is medium-bodied with light, sinewy tannin, well-judged acidity but a rather conservative finish that leaves you wanting more. It’s just a little too slight for a Grand Cru? Still, I would contentedly finish a bottle!
