Tasting Notes
JancisRobinson.com – 17.0
A fué may be a unit of area – maybe. Less perfumed than the village wine. The only wine to have been racked, which is why it may be less expressive. Lovely clarity of fruit and freshness but it’s pretty uncommunicative on the nose at the moment. Very refined. Fine undertow of ripe fruit. Only mid weight but beautiful balance.

Vinous – 91
Bright medium red. Reticent aromas of raspberry, strawberry and crushed stone. Rounder and sweeter than the village wine, with sexy herb and spice notes giving lift to the supple middle palate. Really saturates the mouth on the rising, echoing finish. Has a solid tannic spine to support a graceful evolution in bottle. Showing more stuffing than it did from barrel a year ago.
Burghound – 90
In the same fashion as the Chambolle villages this also seems to lack a bit of aromatic freshness to the otherwise appealingly layered nose of red and dark pinot fruit. There is good intensity to the middle weight flavors that brim with both a fine minerality and plenty of palate coating dry extract. There is good precision and detail to the impeccably well-balanced, long and delicious finish.
