The 2009 Vosne-Romanée is supple, gracious and inviting. Today the Vosne is quite open and sexy. Sweet red berries, flowers and mint all come together nicely in the glass. Soft wood sets off otherwise very ripe red and blue pinot fruit aromas that complement well the equally ripe and admirably concentrated medium-bodied flavors blessed with ample amounts of dry extract that buffer well the moderately firm tannic spine. There is a slight trace of backend warmth but otherwise, this delivers fine quality and this is worth your consideration. [10/01/2012]
