Cristal’s Sister Estate – Champagne Deutz
Champagne Deutz Deutz has been making high-quality Champagne in Ay since 1838. The hallowed legacy of Deutz has been safeguarded over the years by a line of successive generations from the founding families. Throughout its history, Deutz has been a favorite among European heads of state and royal courts. In 1983, the Rouzaud family, who also owns Louis Roederer, bought the company and appointed Frbrice Rosset as the CEO. Rosset was responsible for the success of Roederer’s pretisge Cuvee Cristal. Despite changes in ownership, the Deutz brand continues to maintain its understated, refined style and high standards of quality.
Prestige Cuvee: Amour de Deutz
The Flagship wine of Champagne Deutz Amour Blanc de Blancs is a truly exquisite wine that made from the finest Chardonnay grapes sourced from the Côte des Blancs’ most esteemed vineyards, including Avize, Mesnil, Oger, and Villers-Marmery, this wine is crafted using only the free-run juice and first pressing extracted using Coquard presses. After undergoing alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine is aged for an impressive 7 years on the lees and then a further 9 months following disgorgement before it is deemed ready for release. This prestigious wine embodies delicacy and finesse without sacrificing weight, mouthfeel, or complexity. Its regal character aptly justifies its high demand.
