Domaine Jacques Prieur
In 1988, Jean-Pierre Labruyère bought a majority share from the Prieur family, setting the stage for the emergence of Domaine Jacques Prieur. With Nadine Gublin as winemaker since 1990 and Jean-Pierre’s son Edouard returning in 2008 to manage the estate’s nine grands crus and fourteen premiers crus, the pursuit of utmost quality is obsessive.
The Winemaker – a Woman Pioneer
Nadine Gublin is an iconic figure in the winemaking world, having been the first woman to receive the prestigious “Winemaker of the Year” award by the Revue des Vins de France in 1998. Since 1990, she has been the winemaker for Domaine Jacques Prieur, and her passion and hands-on approach are evident in every aspect of her work. Nadine spends her days dividing her time between the vineyard, cellar, lab, and tasting room, meticulously ensuring that every aspect of the winemaking process is carefully monitored.
One of Nadine’s key beliefs is that organic and biodynamic methods are the key to producing the highest quality wines. She is convinced that these methods are better for both the vines and the wines, and that they are the next step in achieving her ultimate goal: finding the best expression of the Burgundian terroir.
Today we are pleased to offer a range of Jacques Prieur wines, from the prestigious Musigny to more affordable options. Indulge in the exceptional taste, crafted with passion and expertise by the renowned Nadine Gublin and the Labruyère family.
